My Review

Periphery – A tale of Cosmic horror is a different thriller story with a different storyline. This story is about “Andrew Tate” who was a part of the Fire rescue department of the place Tampa, Florida. Because of his irresponsible behaviour, Andrew had put his daughter Anna’s life in danger and as a result of this, he was apart from his family.

His father “John Tate” was a biological scientist. And he was spending his entire life in particular research on some invisible monsters like Bilantus, Vetro affiliate, Quintalochs and Xalanthracoils that were trying to destroy the whole city and families. To save their place and people, Andrew and John fought together with a crew against these deadly monsters.

The story is a thriller blended with so many suspense elements and unexpected turns. I really liked the peculiar storyline of this story that I haven’t read before. This story gave me an eerie feeling, but only when I started reading this book. I was not much happy about the writing style as it made the story seemed complicated and confusing.

Even though there were only twenty-six chapters in this book, each chapter was too lengthy and boring at times. This made it hard to indulge me into the story and to know what was happening actually. I truly felt that the characters development could have been even better.

I was not that much thrilled or impressed, as I felt the horror factor was missing throughout the story. I really loved Andrew for his innocence and his bond with Anna and John. I recommend this book only if you want to try the cosmic horror genre. It’s a one time read for me.
