Kids learn best through stories. Empower your child to own their feelings with this beautifully illustrated picture book by award-winning author, M.C. Goldrick.
Brad’s dog Plaid shows him how to feel and deal with emotions. Though Brad is having a bad day, Plaid shows him that it’s in his power to choose his perspective and his feelings.

Brad Was Sad is a beautifully written illustrated work of M.C.Goldrick with a wonderful message for both children and adults alike. Our little protagonist Brad was sad because his father shouted at him and said that he was bad. When Brad’s favourite dog Plaid chewed his toy. Brad got angry and he shouted at his dog just like his dad. But Plaid wasn’t sad and this made Brad question himself that when Plaid can be happy within a matter of second then he too can bounce back to be happy.
It’s okay to be sad sometimes and get upset over things but how long we hold on to that is what matters. In the end, the choice is always ours. This book delivers this wonderful message that our happiness has nothing to do with what others say or do. It solely depends on us. I loved the colourful illustrations of this book. It surely will attract children and the rhyming lines will make this book an interesting read for them. It’s a book that I would buy for my niece and I recommend it to your little ones too.
